Welcome to CHS

Chosen Hill School opened in 1959 and became an Academy Trust in 2011. There are close to 1400 students in the school including a popular and expanding Sixth Form. As an International Award School we welcome students from many parts of the world on study visits and exchange programmes. Our links with SAI International in India, College Victor Duruy in France and Suzhou Foreign Language School in China are particularly strong and we actively encourage international partnerships to support learning and global citizenship.

Chosen Hill School is a happy school, where students, staff and parents work closely in partnership. There is an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.

We truly believe that instilling confidence in our students and giving them the opportunity to take responsibility and stretching their talents will enable them to become successful adults.

Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Chosen Hill School’s website and thank you for your interest in our school.

We are passionate about learning and developing confident well rounded young people with the ambition to set big goals and the skills, qualities and qualifications to achieve them. Students at Chosen Hill are known, valued and challenged to reach beyond what they thought possible.

Chosen Hill School is a happy school, where students, staff and parents work closely in partnership. Self-belief, aspiration and mutual respect are key drivers in the pursuit of a culture excellence.

Our aim is that every individual will experience success. That doesn’t come magically - it is the result of hard work, perseverance and commitment by the student as well as good teaching, encouragement and feedback from staff. You will find all the information about student achievement and progress across the curriculum, and links to national performance data and reports, so you can see how well our young people do. You will also find a picture of life in a dynamic community where students grow in confidence, independence, leadership and resilience, not only in their lessons, but in the breadth of Chosen Hill school’s provision.

We have the highest expectations of our young people, not simply in their progress in learning, but in how they grow as good citizens. We want our students to be people we would be proud to know as our family, friends and neighbours. When our young people go out into the world, we want them to make a very positive difference. The ethos of the school is that we all help and look out for one another.

If you wish to be part of our success as a parent, student, employee or friend please do not hesitate to make contact with us to find out more and if you would like to visit us in person you are always very welcome. I look forward to meeting you.
