Admissions 2024-25

September 2024 admissions timetable
| From noon 22 May 2023 to noon 30th June 2023 | Online registration period for Grammar Entrance Test |
| September 2023 | Letters sent out explaining how to apply for school spaces |
| 4th September 2023 | Online application facility opens |
| 16th September 2023 | Grammar School Entrance Test Day |
| Prior 31st October 2023 | Grammar School Test results sent out - all results will be sent to parents/carers by the schools, this team does not have access to the results so please direct all queries to the schools |
| 31st October 2023 (midnight) | Closing date for school applications |
| TBC | Late Grammar School Entrance Test Day |
| 1st March 2024 | Allocation day and parents/carers will receive the results of the late grammar school entrance test from the grammar schools directly |
| 8 March 2024 (midnight) | Closing date to return reply form accepting the school place |
| After 29 March 2024 | Outcome of waiting list requests sent out |
| 3 April 2024 | Closing date for waiting list round responses |
| May to July 2024 | Appeals |
Appeals
Parents/carers whose application has been unsuccessful have the right of appeal to an independent Appeals Panel. Appeals, which should be in writing, should be sent to the school for the attention of the Heads PA. Appeals will be conducted in accordance with the Code of Practice for School Admissions Appeals. Parents/carers, whose appeals have been unsuccessful, may only apply for a further appeal in the same academic year if there has been a significant or material change in their circumstances.

In-year Applications
All applications for places outside of the normal admissions round should be made directly to Chosen Hill School. Applicants should fill in the In Year Application Form on the GCC website or download them from here:

Proof of address
Please send in a copy of your proof of address from an official document. If you are moving house, a copy of proof of completion or rental document.
