Assessment and Reporting

Chosen Hill School has developed an assessment scheme for the five year curriculum based on the GCSE 9-1 assessment grading system. Parents/Carers receive three Curriculum Monitoring reports each academic year outlining details of their child’s current attainment, progress and learning attitudes with a key improvement in each subject.

In-class assessment processes have been developed in line with the school’s commitment to the principles and language of growth mindset. The school provides a series of parent information evenings early in the new academic year to share information about the curriculum and assessment arrangements for students at key times in their curriculum pathways.
