13 September 2025 Grammar School Entrance Test Day
Prior 31 October 2025 Grammar School Test results sent out
Midnight 31 October 2025 Closing date for applications
TBC Late Grammar School Entrance Test Day
2 March 2026 Allocation Day & parents/carers will receive the results of the late grammar school entrance test from the grammar schools directly
Midnight 16 March 2026 Closing date for acceptances/declines and waiting list requests
By 6 April 2026 Outcome of waiting list requests sent out
10 April 2026 Closing date for waiting list round responses
May to July 2026 Appeals

APPEALS - ENTRANCE INTO YEAR 7 in SEPTEMBER 2026

If you wish to appeal for a Year 7 place at Chosen Hill School for entrance in September 2026, please email admissions@chosen-hill.gloucs.sch.uk for further information. Please only do this once the second round of allocations has been issued by Gloucestershire County Council.

  • The deadline for returning the completed appeal form will be 1st May 2026
  • Year 7 appeal hearings will take place during the week beginning 8th June 2026
  • Parents will be informed of the hearing arrangements 10 schoold days in advance

In-year Applications

Any applications for places outside the normal admissions rounds must be made directly to the school using the in-year application form that can be found below.

Completed in-year application forms along with *proof of your address and **proof of age for your child should be submitted to admissions@chosen-hill.gloucs.sch.uk.  You will be notified of the outcome of your in-year application within 15 school days.

*Please note - we can only accept a copy of a utility bill or council tax bill as proof of your address.

Appeals

Parents/Carers whose application has been unsuccessful have the right to appeal to an independent Appeals Panel.  Appeals will be conducted in accordance with the Code of Practice for Schools Admissions Appeals.

Parents/Carers whose appeal has been unsuccessful may only apply for a further appeal in the same academic year if there has been a significant or material change in their circumstances.
